Shed Foundations - Types of Shed Foundations

Once you’ve decided to build a shed, whether a new addition from potting shed plans or simple tool shed plans, or just a simple storage shed, probably the most important decision to make is setting a shed foundation. It’s easy to overlook this step, but the long term stability of your building will depend a lot on the type and quality of the foundation. Here’s a look at the different types of shed foundations.

Wooden Sheds - Uses for Your Wooden Shed

For the home handyman who is planning to build a shed, the most common type is a shed built using wooden shed plans. There are a variety of uses for sheds, and the complexity of the shed varies a lot as well. Potting shed plans are usually for small structures near a garden, and so are a good starting shed, as are garden shed plans. Storage shed plans can often be for larger structures that may be large enough to require more than one person to raise and assemble. Finally, tool shed plans can be among the smallest, although to store larger lawn tools like a mower, tiller, or shredder they will tend towards being one of the larger sheds.
